NEW MINUET. English, Country Dance Tune (3/4 time). A Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune and country dance directions appear in all four volumes of John Young's Second Volume of the Dancing Master (1710-1728). They also were published in Walsh & Randall's New Country Dancing Master, Second Book (1710) and Walsh & Hare's Second Book of the Compleat Country Dancing-Master (1719, and subsequent editions of 1735 and 1749).

There are several different "New Minuet" tunes.
