NUMBER ONE [2]. AKA and see "Duke's Retreat," "Few Bob (The)." English, Country Dance Tune (4/4 time). England, Northumberland. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Number One (1)," collected in County Antrim by Breandan Breathnach, is a version of this tune. An almost identical tune to "Number One (1)" was printed in London in the first decade of the 19th century as "Duke's Retreat."

Source for notated version: Kidson's source is from a Northumbrian piper's MS of about 1816.
