McDONOGH'S LAMENTATION AKA and see "Lament for Terence MacDonough," "Young Terence McDonough." Irish, Air (3/4 time). G Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "McDonogh's Lamentation" is expatriate Scottish cellist and composer James Oswald's version of Turlough Carolan's air "Lament for Terence McDonough." The Irish bard composed it in memory of a Catholic laywer from County Sligo. See note for "Annotation:Lament for Terence MacDonough" for more.
