OLD TANGLEFOOT. American, Hornpipe. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'. "Can be used as a Clog" (Cole). The title is perhaps an oblique reference to 1880's variety stage clog dancers.

Printed sources: Cole (1000 Fiddle Tunes), 1940; p. 99. Kennedy (Fiddler's Tune Book #4: Hornpipes & Breakdowns, Clogs & Stepdances), 1998; No. 132. Ryan's Mammoth Collection, 1883; p. 135.

Recorded sources: Green Linnet, Moving Cloud - "Foxglove" (1998).
