JOINTURE [2], THE. Irish, Air (whole time). E Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCCDD. The Belfast collector Edward Bunting printed the tune in his 1796 General Collection of the Ancient Music of Ireland and attributed the composition to "Conalon," probably the 17th century harper O'Connellan, renowned as "The Great Harper."
