Back to Orange in Bloom
ORANGE IN BLOOM. English, Morris Dance Tune (6/8 time 'A' and 'B' parts, 4/4 time for four measures of 'C' part then back to 6/8 for final four measures). E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC (Raven): AABBB (x4), AACCC (x4), AA (Bacon, Mallinson). Collected from the village of Sherborne, Gloucestershire, in England's Cotswolds. A waltz version of the tune ("Sherborne Waltz (The)" credited to Rod Stradling) was recorded by Martin Carthy, Norma Waterson, Eliza Carthy and Nancy Kerr on Topic TSCD475, "Waterson:Carthy" (1994).
