PANSY BLOSSOMS [2]. American, Ragtime. Composed by Charles Leslie Johnson of Kansas City, in 1909. Johnson [1] (1875-1950) was born in Armourdale, Wyandotte, Kansas, but lived most of his life in Kansas City, often on the Missouri side. He was a prolific composer of ragtime pieces, ballads and intermezzo pieces, his most famous being "Dill Pickle Rag" (1906).
