NEW YORK REEL. AKA and see "Chicoutimi Reel (2)." American, Reel. G Major ('A' part) & D Major ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The reel, or parts of it, appears in several publications of Boston music publisher Elias Howe & Co. under different titles. The first strain is shared with "Western Gem" in Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883).
