FEE HIM FATHER FEE HIM (See him, father, see him). Scottish, Air (4/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. A popular Scottish ballad [Roud Broadside Index B38589] frequently printed in songsters, chapbooks and broadside sheets through the mid-18th and 19th century. Words to the song were printed by David Herd & George Paton in their Ancient and Modern Scottish Songs, Heroic Ballads, etc., vol. 1 (1776, p. 45):

O saw y e Johny cumin, quo' she,
Saw ye Johny cummin;
O saw y e Johny cumin, quo' she,
Saw ye Johny cummin;

Saw ye Johny cummin;
Wi' his blew bonnet on his head,
