POSSUM AND THE RACCOON. Old-Time, Breakdown. USA, Mississippi. G Major. The tune was recorded in 1939 for the Library of Congress (AFS 03053 B01) by Herbert Halpert from the playing of Magee, Simpson County, Mississippi, fiddler Enos Canoy and the Canoy Band (which included Tim and Lola Canoy on mandolin and guitar, respectively).
