PRIMROSE GIRL [1] (Cailín na Samhaircíní). AKA and see "Rose in the Garden (1) (The)." Irish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. A Cape Breton version of the tune, in ‘A’ Major, is “Put Me in the Big Chest.” O'Neill printed the reel as "The Rose in the Garden" (DMI, 576).

Source for notated version: fiddlers Jim Hanley and Pat Farrell (Newcastle, County Longford), recorded in 1966 by Seán Keane [Breathnach].
