BERT FERGUSON. Shetland, Jig. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A modern composition by Shetland multi-instrumentalist Samuel Ian Rothmar Burns (1932-1995), named after his wife's uncle-in-law. Burns was born in Lerwick and lived most of his life in Tingwell. He is primarily known for his fiddle playing and his collection Spootiskery, the title composition being his most famous, and deservedly popular.
