Irish, Reel (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'B (O'Neill/1850): AA'BB' (O'Neill/Krassen). The tune is a member of a large tune family that has variants as both song airs and dance tunes, dating at least to the early 19th century, with versions found in both Munster and Connaght.
