DOWSER'S FAVOURITE (Rogha an Chollóra). Irish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A second setting of this tune was also collected by Jack Wade under the title "Four Knocks (The)." See the related "Stage Reel" and "Gowlaun (The)."

Source for notated version: the mid-20th century collection of Jack Wade (County Monaghan), who noted: "Pat Ward's Brother, a fiddler, was called the Dowser Ward. This was one of his favorite reels. Pat--not knowing its name--called it 'Dowser's Favorite'" [Breathnach].
