BONNY BLACK LADDIE, THE. Scottish, Reel. John Glen finds the tune first published by Neil Stewart in his 1775 Collection of the Newest and Best Reels or Country Dances (1775, p. 70, as "Bonny Black Ladie"). The tune is not William Ross's pipe reel "Bonnie Black Lad (The)."
