Tune properties and standard notation
DRUNKEN PIPER [1], THE. English, Reel: Scottish, Canadian; March (2/4 time). Canada; Cape Breton, Prince Edward Island. A Dorian (Kennedy, Raven): A Minor (Martin): A Mixolydian (Perlman). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB (Kennedy, Raven): AABB' (Martin, Perlman). The tune is a standard among many Cape Breton fiddlers and pipers.
Source for notated version: Hilda MacPhee MacDonald (b. 1904, Selkirk, North-East Kings County, Prince Edward Island; now resides in Souris) [Perlman].
