BACHELOR'S JIG. Canadian, Jig. Canada, Cape Breton. The tune was recorded by Cape Breton fiddler Joe MacLean in the 1960's. Paul Stewart Cranford writes that some contend the 'bachelor' of the title was fiddler Duncan MacQuarrie, and that it may be a Cape Breton composition.
