"Can be used as a Clog." There was a 19th century British steamship named Amazon, although what connection, if by remote chance any, with this tune is unknown. Paul de Grae identifies it as a version of O'Neill's "Spellan's Fiddle" (Music of Ireland, No. 616). The beginning measures of the second part were incorporated into the beginning of the second part of O'Neill's "Star (Hornpipe) [1]."
