SCOLDING WIFE [4]. American, Reel (cut time). USA, Texas. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BBCC. The title of a tune recorded by the Thomasson Brothers for Okeh Records in 1929, whom music researcher Charles Wolfe (1997) believes were the father and uncle of Texas fiddler Benny Thomasson (credited as being one of the founders of modern contest fiddling).
