Tune properties and standard notation
FÁILTE NA MIOSG. AKA and see "The Musket Salute." Scottish. The tune was Published by James Oswald in a 1742 collection called Curious Scots Tunes, and again in his Caledonian Pocket Companion, vol. 1 (1760, p. 22). The same melody also appears in Johnson's Scots Musical Museum (1790, p. 268) as the indicated tune for the song "My Heart's in the Highlands."
