Tune properties and standard notation


GALLEY WATCH, DA. Shetland, Shetland Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABB (Bain): AABB (Anderson & Georgeson, Brody, Martin). A typical Shetland reel, known throughout the islands, collected and preserved by the Shetland Folk Society. Anderson & Georgeson (1970) note there were many versions of this traditional tune, some known by other titles.
