SHORT GRASS (THE) (An feur gearr). AKA and see "Put on Your Clothes," "Put on Your Coat." Irish, Double Jig (6/8 time). C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB (O'Neill/1915}): AABB (Cole, Kerr): AABB' (O'Neill/1850, 1001 & Krassen). A few bars of this tune are reminiscent of Breathnach’s “Old John's Jig,” while “Gap in the Woods (The)” also appears to be a related melody.
