SING TANTARAH RARAGH ROUGES ALL. Scottish, Air (6/8 time). C Major. The melody appears in the [James] Gillespie Manuscript of Perth (1768, p. 104). It was the vehicle for a song in the beginning of scene 1 of Andrew Barton's The Disappointment, or the Force of Credulity (1767), but Sing Tantara Rara, Rogues All was also the name of a play by John O'Keeffe, written in 1788.
