GIGUE À PHILLIBERT, LA. AKA - "Reel à Philibert (Le)." French-Canadian, Reel. A popular Québec crooked tune from the repertoire of fiddler Louis "Pitou" Boudreault [1] (1905-1988, Saguenay region). The tune takes its title from the name of a step-dancer named Philibert, who would take over when his wife grew fatigued from step-dancing herself.
