Tune properties and standard notation


GLENN TOWLE. New England, Contra Dance Tune (2/4 time). A Major or G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. Composed by musician and caller Dudley Laufman (Canterbury, New Hampshire) in memory to a young dancer who died in his teens. Donna Hebert remarks that the tune is used in New England for the contra dance Market Lass.
