GRACE HAY'S DELIGHT. AKA and see "Accomplished Maid (The)." Scottish, Jig. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABC. Nathaniel Gow adapted (with minimal changes) and renamed this tune from English origins, where it was published as "Accomplished Maid (The)," a melody that was itself taken from the comic opera The Accomplished Maid (1767), by Italian dramatist Carlo Goldoni, with music by Niccolò Piccinni, performed in Covent Garden.
