VELOCIPEDE HORNPIPE. AKA and see "Highland Hornpipe," "High Level Hornpipe (1)." American, Hornpipe. B Flat Major ('A' part) & F Major ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Can be used as a Clog" (Ryan). "Velocipede" is a re-setting of early 19th century Tyneside fiddler James Hill's famous "High Level Hornpipe (1)." It was printed in George H. Coes' Coes Album of Jigs and Reels (1876) as "Sailor Jack's Hornpipe."
