SHEPTON HORNPIPE. AKA - "Shepton Mallet Hornpipe." English, Morris Dance Tune (4/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune has been used for a polka step in the North West morris dance tradition. The second section appears in Bayard's Pennsylvania collected "Little Math Hamilton Tune" [1]. Compare also with "Careless Sally," from which it probably derived.
