HOPPLE'S REEL. American, Reel. USA, southwestern Pa. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABB. The first part of the tune is the same as "Lardner's Reel," "Galaxy Reel" and "Cowboys (2)," while the 'B' part Bayard (1981) calls "simple repetitive melodizing." The source named Christ Hopple, an old Juniata County, Pa., fiddler as the one who taught it to him.

Source for notated version: Sameul Losch (Juniata County, Pa., 1930's) [Bayard].

Printed sources: Bayard (Dance to the Fiddle), 1981; No. 30, pp. 29-30.
