FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN [6]. American, Reel (cut time). A Major. AEae tuning (fiddle). AA'BB. The tune is unique to fiddler Isham Monday, Cloyd Ridge, south-central Kentucky, and is not related to other "Fire on the Mountain" tunes (which Monday also played, but under the title "Sambo"). Titon (2001) notes some similarities with "Fire on the Mountain (7)."
