ORANGE IN BLOOM. AKA and see "Boys of the Bunch." English, Morris Dance Tune (6/8 time 'A' and 'B' parts, 4/4 time for four measures of 'C' part then back to 6/8 for final four measures). E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC (Raven): AABBB (x4), AACCC (x4), AA (Bacon, Mallinson). "Orange in Bloom" was collected from the village of Sherborne, Gloucestershire, in England's Cotswolds. It is thought the title "Orange in Bloom" may be a corruption or miss-hearing of "Orange and Blue", the colors of the Sherborne side's favors. See also the variant "Boys of the Bunch" collected in the village of North Leigh.

A waltz version of the tune ("Sherborne Waltz (The)" credited to Rod Stradling) was recorded by Martin Carthy, Norma Waterson, Eliza Carthy and Nancy Kerr on Topic TSCD475, "Waterson:Carthy" (1994).
