BALLROOM FAVOURITE NO. 2. Irish, "Barn Dance" (4/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning. AABB. The tune is a distanced variant of "Mrs. Kenny's Barndance" (also known as "Woodland Flowers [1]"), recorded by Michael Coleman.
Source for notated version: from a 1934 Decca 78 RPM recording of flute player John McKenna (1880-1947) and banjo player Michael Gaffney, both originally from County Leitrim, via accordion player Charlie Harris (County Galway) [Taylor].
