I'M A SOLDIER NOW. Irish, American; Schottische. USA, Mass. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'. The ditty that went with the tune goes:

I'm a soldier now, I'm a soldier now,
And you'll find me in the ranks of glory now. (Bayard)
