JACKSON'S VICTORY. AKA and see "Eighth of January (1)." Old-Time, Fiddle Tune. The title, probably referring to the Battle of New Orleans rather than his successful bid for the Presidency, appears in a list of traditional Ozark Mountain fiddle tunes compiled by musicologist/folklorist Vance Randolph, published in 1954.
