Tune properties and standard notation
JIG AWAY THE DONKEY. AKA - "Jigging the Donkey." AKA and see "Mist on the Mountain (The)." Irish, Reel. A Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was played in a set with "Piper on Horseback (The)" by northern Irish musicians Frankie Kennedy and Mairead Ni Mhaonaigh on tour in America in the mid-1970's.
