Back to Hi-Flyer Stomp
HI-FLYER STOMP. AKA - "Pickin' My Way." Western Swing. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'B (Phillips): AA'BB' (Brody). The melody was originally recorded by jazz guitarist Eddie Lang as "Pickin' My Way." Re-named "Hi-Flyer Stomp", it was the signature tune of the western swing band The Hi Flyers, originally from Ft. Worth, Texas. The band was active in the 1930's, until World War II duty scattered the members.
