CHAISSON REEL, THE. AKA and see "Kennedy's Reel," "Northside Reel (2) (The)." Canadian, Reel. Canada, Prince Edward Island. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. This reel, states Perlman (1996) is associated with the musical Chaisson family of Bear River, Kings County, Prince Edward Island, though it is probably Irish in origin. "The Northside Reel" is an alternate title from southern Kings County, PEI.
