KILLIMOR JIG. AKA and see "Port Ui Cheallaigh," "Kelly's Jig," "Killimer Jig (The)," "Killimore Jig (The)." AKA - "Kylemore (The)." Irish, Double Jig. G Major. Standard tuning. AABB. Composed by Tipperary fiddle player Seán Ryan (d. 1985). The tune is printed by Breathnach in Ceol Rince na hÉireann vol. 1 as "Kelly's Jig," from the playing of accordion player Sonny Brogan. Killimor (pronounced kill-EYE-mer) is a townland in east County Galway near Woodford, and not far from Sean Ryan's home across the Shannon River in Nenagh. There is a Killimor Ceili Band, as well.
