KID ON THE MOUNTAIN [1], THE (An Mionnán Air/Ar an Sliab). AKA and see "Bottle of Wine (The)." Irish, Slip Jig (9/8). E Aeolian (Em). Standard tuning (fiddle). ABCD (Breathnach): AABBCC (Williamson): AABBCCDD (Moylan): ABBCCDDEE (Brody): AABBCCDDEE (Kennedy, Mallinson, Martin & Hughes, Tubridy): AABBCC'DDEE (O'Neill/Krassen): AABBCCDDEEFF (O'Neill/1915, 1001 & 1850). "Bottle of Wine (The)," an alternate title, is the name of a song to the tune Breathnach collected from P. O'Loughlin (Largy), Miltown Malbay, County Clare. See also the related "Kilbride's Favourite."
