LADY DUFF OF DELGATY. Scottish, Reel. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by William Marshall (1748-1833). Moyra Cowie (The Life and Times of William Marshall, 1999) identifies Lady Duff as Anne, the daughter of James Stein of Kilbagie. She married Sir Alexander Duff of Delgatie (1777-1851) and moved into Delgatie Castle, Turriff. See also note for "Barnyard of Delgaty (The)."
