MISS McDONALD{'S} [1] ("Ingean Uí/Ni Mic Domnall" or "Iníon Mhic Dhónaill"). Scottish, Irish; Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Tolman): ABCD (Cole): AABBCCD (O'Neill): AA’BBCCDD’ (Kennedy): AA'BB'CD (O'Neill/1850 & 1001): ABB’CC’D (Vallely). Directions for a dance to a tune by this name were written down in 1752 by John McGill, a dancing master in Girvan, for his students.
