LANG STAY'D AWAY. English, Country Dance Tune (3/4 time). England, Northumberland. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. This Northumbrian tune was probably originally a triple hornpipe (3/2 time). The first strain is reminiscent to "Cam Ye Home Frae France", and "Bobbin John" may also be a related tune.
