BUACHAILLÍN BÁN [1], AN (The Fair-Haired Boy). AKA and see "Boys from Carrickroe (The)," "Bouchaleen Bawn (The)," "Fairhaired Boy (1) (The)," "Freheen Jig," "Last of the Lot." Irish, Double Jig. A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB (Breathnach): AABB (Roche). A song version of the tune from the Scottish island of Uist was recorded by the group Capercaillie. "Dear Irish Boy (The)," a slow air, is a distant relative.
