Lieutenant Colonel Baillie of Leys (d. 1833) was an Anglo-Indian officer, recorded as having been a "director of the East India Company". He served briefly as a Member of Parliament in 1832 for the district of burghs, and, as was customary, he sponsored a dinner for his leading constituents. The local paper (Inverness Courier) remarked:

August 25. The new members entertained the leading inhabitants to dinner. The dinner given by Colonel Baillie in the Caledonian Hotel at Inverness is described as superb.
