LITTLE BAG OF POTATOES [1], THE (An Mála beag Fataí). AKA and see "Bag of Potatoes (1) (The)," "Bag of Spuds (The)," "Little Bag of Spuds (The)," "What the Devil Ails You?" Irish, Reel. G Major (Breathnach): D Major (Tubridy). Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Tubridy): AABB (Breathnach). Breathnach's source, flute player Michael Tubridy, called the tune "The Bag of Potatoes," but since Breathnach had a reel by that title he changed it a bit. Each part consists of one phrase, repeated, which Tubridy told him was very widespread in County Clare.
