CONNIE O'CONNELL'S (JIG) [1]. AKA and see "Jolly Beggar (1) (The)," "Michael Dwyer's," "Two and Sixpenny Girl (The)." Irish, Jig. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BBCC'. Connie O'Connell is a fiddler player from Kilnamartyra, Múscraí (near Ballyvourney in west Cork). According to Breathnach (1985), the title is from County Limerick. There are melodic similarities with group of jigs under the titles "Aherlow Jig," "Money I Want (The)," "Quinn's Jig," "Ryan's Travels," "Spirits of Whisky (2)," and "Three Little Drummers (1) (The)."
