VIRGINIA REEL [5]. AKA and see "Miss McLeod's Reel (1)/Miss MacLeod's Reel (1)." This title was one of the titles collected by Bayard from fiddlers in southwestern Pa. for "Miss McLeod's Reel." It is also the main title under which the tune appears in George Knauff’s Virginia Reels, vol. 1 (published by George Willig in Baltimore, c. 1839?), he included the title “Mrs. McLeod’s Reel” clearly, but in smaller print to the right of the tune.
