Back to Lady Faney Erskine's Minuet


LADY FANEY ERSKINE'S MINUET. Scottish, Minuet. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). The melody appears in the (James) Gillespie Manuscript of Perth (1768, p. 83). Gillespie includes other minuets for the Erskine family in his collection: "Major Erskine's Minuet," and "Lady Belly Erskine's Minuet" (i.e. 'Lady Betty Erskine').
