MAID WITHOUT DOWER, THE (An Cailin Gan Spreid). Irish, Air (6/8 time). E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Paul De Grae thinks it might be related to the set dance "Súisín Bán (An)" ("White Blanket (1) (The)"). See also the identical "Cooleen Bawn" (Cailín Ban (An)) printed by piper O'Farrell at the beginning of the 19th century in his Pocket Companion for the Irish or Union Pipes, vol. 3 (No. 32).

Source for notated version:

Printed sources: O'Neill (Music of Ireland: 1850 Melodies), 1903; No. 611, p. 108.
