Back to Up Sligo (2)
UP SLIGO [2]. Irish, Jig. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). The second in the pair of jigs recorded under the single title “Up Sligo” in New York by County Sligo fiddler Michael Coleman (1891-1945) in 1924. The melody is a version of “Geese in the Bog (2).” The first tune in Coleman's set is also known as Unfortunate Rake (The) and Basket of Turf (See "Up Sligo (1)."
